“I am delighted to be joining the prestigious Formula Renault NEC Series in its 12th season and I ve-ry much look forward to contributing to a positive year ahead”, says Fewkes. “After years of invol-vement in Formula Renault UK 2.0, I am excited to be working again in a Formula Renault category that is all so crucial to the development of drivers who have serious ambitions of reaching Mo-torsport’s pinnacle, Formula One. I believe that I bring with me a unique skillset, and I will be able to provide valuable support to the NEC team and MdH organisation as a whole, as it moves forward with an exciting future.”
“In the process of keeping the Formula Renault NEC and the Eurocup a strong proposition in the ‘The Road to F1” I am very pleased to have persuaded Will to help us strengthen our team for this season,” says Mick de Haas, promoter of the series.
The first race of the 2017 FR NEC will be held at Monza (Italy) on June 23-25.
