This year’s Formula Renault Northern European Cup winner will be offered a unique opportunity with the Renault Sport Formula 1 Team.
Emphasising the strong path from Formula Renault to Formula One through Renault Sport, the winner of the Northern European Cup will be invited to the Renault Sport Formula 1 team factory for a unique day.
During a full day in Enstone, they will take part in a simulator session, a debrief session with F1 engineers and a physical evaluation with the team’s physical staff. This chance will give an exclusive insight into top-level motor racing.
The experience will be guided by the Renault Sport Academy and Renault Sport Formula One Team engineers.
Tarik AIT SAID, Renault Sport Racing Sporting Manager, says:
“On top of joining the Formula Renault Eurocup next season, we are glad to offer the 2017 NEC winner a first glimpse of what is required of a driver in a Formula 1 team. It is a first step in a very selective evaluation process and will no doubt show him the intensity and difficulty of what he could face in the future.”
The Formula Renault NEC season will start at Monza on 23-25 June, where an already high-class field will be bolstered by several Formula Renault Eurocup teams. The series will also visit Assen, Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and Hockenheim this 2017 season.
